Training On FreeMotion Surpasses Fixed Isolated Training To Build Strength, Increase Balance And Decrease Pain Levels

Study Demonstrates that Free-Form Resistance Training can Yield Greater Results than Fixed-Isolated Training

(March 4, 2008, COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) - In a recent study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, Keith C. Spennewyn, director of the Health and Fitness Specialist program at Globe University, demonstrated that free-form exercise equipment has advantages over fixed-form devices for the development of strength, balance and the reduction of pain.

Results of the study showed incredible gains and benefits in the FreeMotion training group. FreeMotion users had a 58% greater increase in strength over the fixed-form group. Their improvements in balance were 196% higher over fixed and reported an overall decrease in joint pain by 30%.

The purpose of the study was to compare measures of strength and balance between people exercising on free-form (FreeMotion) vs. fixed form resistance training. Participants were separated into two groups and followed a 16-week resistance-training program with either FreeMotion equipment or fixed-isolated equipment.
